Moritaza after moved to Shintomi-cho. Drawn by Baido Kunimasa.
It was a playhouse in the Edo period. It is said that the theatre was founded Kobiki-cho in 1660. In 1843, it was moved to Saruwaka-machi. The theatre was moved to Shintomi-cho in 1872. Since it was renamed as Shintomiza three years later, the theatre called Moritaza was gone.
