It is a Jidaimono play adapted from O-ie sodo of the Date Domain that took place in history. The story mainly portrays Masaoka who protects a young lord from a group of Nikki Danjo trying to take over the house. Masaoka has many featured scenes and is considered a demanding Onnagata role. In addition to her, there are a wide variety of characters appearing in this play, including the villain role Nikki Danjo, Arajishi Otokonosuke that is performed in the Aragoto style, as well as the judging role Hosokawa Katsumoto.
