It is a Sewamono play by Kawatake Mokuami premiered at Moritaza in 1864. This play is a Kakikae (rewritten)-Kyogen of “Yowa Nasake Ukina no Yokogushi”, and Otomi, who is slashed enough to have wounds over her entire body, appears as the leading character. Otomi is a typical “Akuba” role that started to appear at the end of the Edo period, and described as a person who commits an extortion of money or even murder for the sake of her lover.
