Minamoto no Yoritomo (1147~1199)
He was the first Shogun of the Kamakura Shogunate. In 1180, he raised an army in Izu, to which he had been banished, to defeat the Heike. Afterwards, he succeeded in defeating the Heike in 1185 by the cooperation with his brother Yoshitsune and others. In 1192, he was appointed as a Seii Taishogun and established the Shogunate in Kamakura.
