  • Going up to the stage from Naraku
An area underneath the stage and the Hanamichi is called Naraku. This is a place for the Ozeri to come down, and for actors’ comings and goings who use the Kozeri or Suppon. In the playhouse during the Edo period, the Mawaributai or Seri was operated by manpower down from the Naraku.
