This theatre in Nipponbashi, Osaka was opened in 1984. It was built in the purpose of performing and preserving traditional arts of Osaka, including Bunraku (Ningyo-Joruri) performance. Other than Bunraku, there are Kabuki, Japanese dance, traditional music performances, and so on going on at the theatre. It seats 753 (677 when the Hanamichi is set up).
