She is the main character in “Musumegonomi Ukina no Yokogushi” by Kawatake Mokuami referred to as “Kirare Otomi”, because she has cuts all over her body. This character is a typical “Akuba” role who seeks to prepare the money for her former lover Yosaburo by extorting and killing others.
“Akuba” in principle wears a “horse- tail wig” which is only bound at the back untied, and costumes in cross stripes called “Koushijima”.
