It is a scene in which a woman combs a man's hair with her ornamental hairpin. In many cases, the two love each other, and the scene is used to express her delicate affection to him, along with their stylistic movement accompanied by the music. The chief examples include a scene in “Yukino Yube Iriya no Azemichi” in which Michitose and Kataoka Naojiro meet in secret.
