The upper half resembles to Sujiguma, while the lower half is drawn in indigo blue. Kagekiyo is bound in a jail and eats nothing. Human being becomes thin and the face turns pale without eating. Therefore, the makeup is drawn in indigo showing that he is worn out with his cheeks getting skinny.
